I Built AniWeek — A Weekly Anime Airing Calendar for Fans Who Hate Missing Episodes

AniWeek is a free tool I built to track weekly anime airing schedules with real-time countdowns, genre filters, and a community board — all in one clean interface.

If you watch seasonal anime, you know the pain. You open five tabs trying to figure out when the next episode of something drops, only to realise you're already two episodes behind. I built AniWeek to fix that for myself — and then decided to put it online for anyone who wants it.

What Is AniWeek?

AniWeek is a weekly anime airing calendar that shows you exactly what's airing, when it airs, and how long until the next episode — in your local timezone. No more converting JST manually. No more guessing.

The data pulls live from AniList and Jikan, so it's always current with the season.

What You Can Do With It

Browse by day — the calendar is laid out week by week so you can see at a glance what's airing Monday through Sunday.

Filter by genre — Action, Romance, Isekai, Slice of Life, Mecha, and more. If you only follow certain kinds of shows, you can cut the noise immediately.

Live episode countdowns — each show has a real-time countdown to its next episode. Satisfying to watch tick down, honestly.

Community board — there's a simple discussion space built in where you can post thoughts on episodes, theories, or just react to what aired. No login walls, no algorithm.

Add to your watchlist — save shows to My List so your personal lineup is always one tap away.

Install as a PWA — AniWeek works as a Progressive Web App, so you can add it to your phone's home screen and it behaves like a native app.

Why I Built It

I wanted something minimal. Most anime tracking sites are heavy, account-gated, or buried in social features I don't use. AniWeek is just: here's what's airing this week, here's when, here's a countdown. Done.

The design is intentionally dark and clean — built to be used at night when you're actually watching anime.

Try It

It's completely free. No account needed for the calendar or filters. Just open it and start exploring the current season.

If you find a bug or want to suggest a feature, the community board is a good place to drop a note. I check it.
